What is a color equalization filter?

The SL1-Filter comes with a color equalization filter. Halogen lamps naturally emit a black body curve with weak blue emissions and strong green, yellow, red, and NIR. The Color Equalization Filter knocks down the emissions in the stronger wavelengths and allows the blue to pass so that color measurements get better signal to noise in the blue region of the spectrum.
