Reagent Test Kits for Chemical Analysis
Measure nitrate, phosphate, & other analytes using spectrometers Request a QuoteDownload PDFStellarNet is proud to offer NECi’s reagent grade enzymes for chemical analysis. They are reliable, accurate, non-toxic, and extremely selective. We can provide test kits for water analysis as well as many other types of samples. All reagents can be used with StellarNet portable and lab UV-VIS spectrometers to quantify results!
Phosphate Test Kits – Measure phosphate levels in various types of aqueous samples, including municipal and industrial wastewater, agricultural runoff, and more. Monitor non-point source pollution and point-source pollution on-site for accurate and reliable results in less than 30 minutes.
Nitrate Test Kits – Measure nitrate levels in various types of aqueous samples, including well water, drinking water, agricultural water, pond water streams, lakes, rivers, oceans, wetlands, and other environmental watersheds wastewater, industrial manufacturing effluent, and more aquarium, hydroponic, aquaculture, aquaponic water. Nitrate test kits also available for dry forage, green forage, plant petiole, and soil testing. Available in Standard Range (0.5 ppm – 10.0 ppm Nitrate-N) and Low Range (0.1 ppm – 2.0 ppm Nitrate-N)
- Obtain accurate results within 30 minutes
- Non-toxic (enzyme based) to ensure safety for users and the environment
- No laboratory experience needed
- For environmental sources of water, choose the low range test kit
- For industrial or municipal wastewater, or samples with suspected high levels, choose the standard range test kit
- Available in kit sizes to measure phosphate content of 5, 10, 25, or 50 samples
How do enzyme based reagents work?
Enzymes only react with their specific substrate, which makes them excellent candidates for quantifying specific molecules in a sample, even in complex mixtures.
They do this by having a very specific “binding-site”, where the substrate will fit, like a lock-and-key or two puzzle pieces would. When the substrate is released, it can react with other chemicals to quantify the amount of substrate in the sample.
How does the phosphate enzyme work?
When reaction is complete, the purine product yields an increase in absorbance at 360 nm in equal molar ratio to the inorganic phosphate in the reaction mixture. Using the equation of the linear regression line fitted to the set of phosphate standards, the phosphate concentration a sample can easily be determined.
