UV-VIS High Power Light Sources
Tungsten Halogen + Deuterium Lamps for 190-2500nm Request a QuoteDownload Instrument PDFStellarNet has a variety of UV-VIS light sources available for spectroscopy applications.
The SL4 High Power UV-VIS Light Source is a miniature Deuterium and tungsten halogen light source that covers the 190-2500nm range. The lamp combines the Deuterium Spectrum with the Tungsten Halogen spectrum to form a single optical path. The deuterium and halogen lamps can be individually turned on or off. The SL4 lamp connects via fiber optic cable to cuvette holders, dip probes, and flow cells, with the return signal routed to the spectrometer via SMA 905 input connector.
High Power – Great for applications that require high output power like reflectance
Dual Lamps & Shutter – The deuterium and halogen lamps can be individually turned on/off for taking a quick dark spectra reference. The lamps are adjusted at factory for maximum signal.
Miniature Size – Its small size of 7.25 x 4 x 3″ makes it a perfect match for our BLUE-Wave or BLACK-Comet spectrometers. A small footprint makes this a great lamp for bench top applications.
Portability – The combination of both lamps into one small enclosure saves money and reduces complexity to provide the ultimate UV-VIS light source for portability.
Options and Upgrades
SL4 +DCX-Lens – adds amplification lens for signal increase 3-4x with fiber optic
SL4-CAL – Calibrated Miniature Deuterium and Tungsten/halogen light source for 200-1700nm range for high output power.
* Please note the SL4 can be used with a reflectance probe as it has higher ouput power. The SL4 contains a Deuterium spike @ 556nm. If you need this peak removed we suggest purchasing the SL1+SL3 combination lamps can be used and adding the U330 Deuterium spike removing filter.
