- Click on the “Re-connect spectrometer(s)”
 button to start communication with the spectrometer. A prompt stating that the connection is successful will appear and click OK to continue.
- Select Loop for continuous measurement
- Click on the “Capture Data”
 button to begin acquisition. The trace will begin to populate on screen:
- To halt acquisition, click the “Capture Data”
 button again.
- To change settings like integration time, smoothing, etc., change the numbers in the tab
- Hint: Click on the number then punch in the desired value on your keyboard
- Hint: Some values can be adjusted by clicking and dragging to the left or right
- Note: X-Timing should remain set to 3 unless integration times go below 10ms
- Note: Radiometric measurements are recommended at 30-3000ms
- Note: Temperature Compensation is only available for SONY ILX511b detectors
- Note: Hover your mouse over any button to view a tool-tip function descriptor

- If device settings are adjusted during the continuous measurement, the setting will be automatically implemented. Else, unimplemented settings such as “Integration Time” and “XTiming will appear as red text. Clicking on the text “Integration Time” and “Xtiming”.
- Dark and Reference spectra are taken in the same manner as settings changes
 Take Dark – Dark reference saves a snapshot of raw spectrum data as the dark reference spectrum and subtracts this data from subsequent spectra. This data is also considered 0% for %T:R and Absorbance mode calculations Take Reference – Reference saves a snapshot raw spectrum as the reference spectrum and calculates that data as a 100% reference for subsequent spectra in %T:R and Absorbance mode calculations
- To save data
- Make sure data acquisition is on halt. Then click the “Save Data” icon
- A window will allow you to browse to a save location and give the file a name
- Click Save
- A confirmation prompt will appear

- Application specific needs can be met by selecting one of the many application modes to the left of the Y-axis. Look for tabs at the top of graphs and at the top of the program for additional views and advanced tools to alter the data in real time.
- If you want to switch from the StellarPro program (Python driver) to SpectraWiz (traditional Windows DLL), you will need to click on the “Switch to SpectraWiz” icon found on the LOGIN page:
- If StellarPro is your primary application, then you can disable the SpectraWiz restore when the StellarPro is terminated and this can be done by navigating to the Settings page in StellarPro and uncheck “Restore SpectraWiz Driver When StellarPro is Closed.”.
