FOMUX Fiber Optic Multiplexer
StellarNet has announced a new high performance optical switching accessory for its family of fiber optic spectrometers, the FOMUX. The standard unit includes 3 single strand fiber optic input channels with standard SMA-905 connectors. An SMA-905 output connector is used to send selectable signals to the UV-VIS or VIS-NIR spectrometer (type), which must be specified when ordering. A 4th input channel can be optionally ordered. Key features include high speed switching reliability, automatic dark shutter for each channel, low optical loss, no signal crosstalk, and low power operation. FOMUX reduces the number of spectrometer channels required for process monitoring of up to 4 separate locations.
The portable multiplexer is packaged in a miniature rugged enclosure and operates from +5VDC. The FOMUX attaches directly to a computers high speed parallel printer port with channel selection control provided by the SpectraWiz software.
The SpectraWiz® software suite is included free-of-charge to immediately enable an array of spectroscopy applications. The software includes drivers with customizable programs for LabVIEW, Visual Basic Automation for Excel, Visual C++, and Delphi Pascal operating under Win9x/2k/XP.
StellarNet manufactures numerous spectrometer models to provide a variety of operational ranges and optical resolutions down to 0.1nm (1 Angstrom), suitable for spectroscopy applications such as chemical and optical analysis, spectroradiometry, spectrocolorimetry, UV spectrum analysis, remote sensing, LIBS, and process control monitoring.
EPP2000-UVN-SR Super Range Spectrometer for 200-1100nm
StellarNet has announced a new high performance Super Range spectrometer for the 200-1100nm range. The optics include a UV enhanced 2048 pixel CCD detector with new eXtreme Grating (XG) optics technology, that has no moving parts to provide < 1nm resolution at a surprisingly low cost. An integrated order sorting filter allows the broadband instrument to be spectroradiometrically calibrated for precision measurement of absolute light intensities. A 50um slit or larger is recommended for best spectroradiometer performance.
The portable instrument is packaged in a rugged HR enclosure with SMA905 fiber optic input. It can be attached directly to a computers high speed USB (1 or 2) port, or high speed IEEE1284 parallel port. Numerous other StellarNet models provide variety of operational ranges and optical resolutions down to 0.1nm, suitable for spectroscopy applications such as chemical and optical analysis, spectroradiometry, spectrocolorimetry, UV spectrum analysis, remote sensing, LIBS, and process control monitoring.
StellarNet includes SpectraWiz software free-of-charge to immediately enable an array of spectroscopy applications. SpectraWiz also includes drivers with customizable programs for LabVIEW, Visual Basic Automation for Excel, VC, and Delphi operating under Win9x/2k/XP.
